NEW ALBUM

Patchwork is a form of needlework that consists in sewing together different pieces of fabric. This album is nothing but the union of seven music pieces composed during different times of my life, based on experiences, feelings and taste completely different from each others.

It is the materialization of my need to free and bring to life in a tangible and timeless way ideas developed following my most recent experiences.

The only common thread among these music pieces it’s me, without caring about a stylistic coherence. If music, being a form of art, is one of the highest expression of freedom,  why should we put barriers to something so spontaneous and liberating? Why to force ourselves to classify and define something so sincere and spontaneous such as ideas and emotions? After all music arises from them.

I think that a lifelong coherence is a limit if it turns into stubbornness, it is a synonymous of immobility, of not growing. Immagine to have  today the same beliefs of when you were 5 years old, i would find it quite bizzarre!

I have decided to try to accept every part of myself and to put them in here.  I tried to do it with no attempt to reach my unreachable expectations or with the hunger of everyone’s approval.

This album is simply the honest patchwork of what I am and I’ve been for about the last three years of my artistic career.
