About Me
Davide Di Camillo is an Italian bass player, composer and teacher. He studied at Conservatory L. D’Annunzio in Pescara where he earned his bachelor’s degree in electric bass-popular music, and then completed his master’s degree in electric bass-jazz under the lead of the Prof. Maurizio Rolli (Vince Mendoza, Mike Stern, Dave Weckl, Hiram Bullock and many others). He is currently refining his skills with the bass player Sharay Reed (Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin, Cory Henry and many others).
Davide is founder, composer, leader and bass player of the Glutenfree Trio. He is an active member of F-Army (a four bass orchestra), Choruscant (a progressive rock band) and he works as a freelance. During his academic years Davide took part to many music projects ranging from pop to jazz to metal.
He has collaborated with many international musicians: Fabrizio Bosso, Mike Applebaum, Maurizio Rolli, Massimo Morganti and Claudio Filippini. He was awarded the 1st prize at the national festival of conservatories in 2016 with the
Glutenfree Trio and again the 2nd price with the F-Army the following year. With the Glutenfree Trio he was invited to play in Istanbul by the music national Italian committee (CIDIM) and at Pescara Jazz Festival. He released his first album “Farina del mio sacco” with the Glutenfree Trio in 2018 produced by Dodicilune records. He also recorded the album “A Christmas carol” with Choruscant and the first FArmy album “Call to arms”.
He is currently working on his second Glutenfree Trio album.
